Yes it depends on the dependency. Typically kids are covered till 21yrs. You would need to prove that kids and parents are dependent on you and they don’t have a separate source of income, they are staying with you and in the case of kids they still need to be studying and you need to be paying for their education. These things depend on a case to case basis so its important to hire a good lawyer who can evaluate your case accordingly

Under Portuguese Law any person who has held a valid Portuguese temporary residency title (e.g. the Golden Visa) for a period of at least 5 years, will be entitled to obtain Portuguese Citizenship.

Q. What documents are needed for the application of the Portugal Golden Visa Residence Permit?

- Registered marriage certificate in case ur married
- In the case of kids their birth certificates and dependency proof
- Clear medical exam certificate
- Police clearance certificate from the home country
- As means of evidence of compliance with tax obligations, the applicant shall deliver a declaration proving the absence of debts issued by the Inland Revenue and Customs Authority and by Social Security.

Q. What are the grounds for refusing the Portugal Golden Visa Residence Permit?
The investor (or any family member) will only be refused the Golden Visa (or its renewal) if:
The investor is in a period where he/she/they has been banned entry into Portuguese territory following a removal measure of the country
On the grounds of public health. This may only be based on diseases that have been defined by the World Health Organization or other infectious or parasitic contagious diseases which are the object of protection measures in Portuguese territory
On the grounds of public order, and public security
- He/she/they have not complied with the minimum periods of stay in Portugal
- He/she/they have not maintained the investment for the minimum period of 5 (years)
- He/she/they have been convicted of a crime punishable with a prison sentence of more than one year
